Congratulations to the Willmore Enterprise, Kathleen Irvine – Editor & Chief, and all the contributing writers for winning the TOP prize (Gold award) in the Neighborhoods, USA (NUSA) Newsletter Competition. This competition acknowledges excellence in neighborhood newsletters — a vital communication tool that can often determine a neighborhood’s success. The competition features three categories — neighborhood organizations, government entity and nonprofit organization or agency — with gold, silver and bronze level awards. Each entry was evaluated by a jury panel using a list of criteria including content, lay-out, and overall appearance.
Send your address information to email@example.com and we will send you a copy of next months Willmore Enterprise in the mail.

“Our Third Annual Summer Celebration and Fundraiser will take place this month. This year, due to the popular demand, we are making a few changes.
The Summer Celebration was traditionally held on our regular, Wednesday evening meeting. Sadly, all the frivolity was curtailed due to the middle of the week time slot. Folks left early, or, having to work the next day, had no time to contemplate just how much fun they had had! So, for all you working people, you will now have plenty of time to dress in your finest California Casual wear, pick up a little nosh from a local eatery, come to the party and drink as much Sangria as you wish! This year the Celebration will be on Saturday, July 23rd, from 2pm until 6pm. We are lucky once again, courtesy of Long Beach Heritage, to hold our festivities at the jewel of the Willmore Historic District, the Bembridge House.
We would still appreciate donations of items — preferably historic / antique / vintage, or gift card / gift certificates that can be raffled or auctioned off. This celebration is a potluck, but delicious Sangria and other beverages will be available for a small donation. Excellent jazz will be provided by local musicians.
Please keep in mind that this celebration is the main annual fundraiser for the WCHA. It provides monies for many of our expenses throughout the year. This includes things such as postage, support for our soccer teams, supplies for meetings and events, permits and fees.
This is a great way to help our community and have a little fun. We look forward to seeing you all there!”
