Reminder: WCHA Meetings Tomorrow

This is a quick reminder about tomorrow’s community meetings:  Code Enforcement begins at 6pm and Monthly Meeting at 7pm.   Location:  Willmore Community Police Center, 910 Daisy Ave.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Code Enforcement Meeting

This meeting gives neighbors a platform to report code violations they observe occurring in the Willmore City / Drake Park Historic District and the West End neighborhoods with a City of Long Beach Code Enforcement representative.

Monthly Meeting: Last one at the Willmore Community Police Center

Come say farewell to the Community Police Center during this months meeting, share story, and celebrate a place that has been great to the improvement of our neighborhood.  Details will be given on the future monthly meeting location.

Lynette Ferenczy from the City of Long Beach Planning Bureau will also present a discussion on the guidelines homeowners shall follow when rehabilitating or repairing a home in Long Beach’s Historic District.  This includes the explaining Certificate of Appropriateness process.   You can find additional information here:

Bembridge House Docent Training:  Available Every Tuesday!

Come learn about Long Beach history, the Bembridge House, and be a docent at the Bembridge House Historic Site to share the home’s story.  It takes approximately 2 hours.  Docent training available most Tuesday’s between 1-4pm.  Contact Jill Black at or  562-495-3377  to schedule your class.
