Willmore City Walking Tours

Willmore City started in 1881 as a subdivision of Rancho Los Cerritos and is home to a variety of Victorian, Period Revival, and Craftsman-style homes that provide a cross-section of early 20th-century Long Beach residential architecture.

Willmore City Walking Tour

On the 4th Saturday of each month (except for Summer months), explore the oldest residential developments in Long Beach. You will see a variety of home architectures; visit Drake Park (named after Colonel Charles Rivers Drake, who developed the Pike amusement complex); and the Knoll Park housing development. The tour will also include a brief interior tour of the Bembridge House, a fully restored Queen Anne workman’s cottage, and a few surprises along the way!

The tour is designed as an educational introduction to early 20th-century Long Beach residential architecture. There are numerous architectural examples, such as, Victorian, Queen Anne, Craftsman, Spanish Colonial, Dutch Colonial, Tudor, and more.
