Downtown Final Friday, by PARA

Downtown Final Friday is happening this Friday April 29th from 7:00pm-11:00pm in a very big way!
The Skyroom is hosting and providing us with complimentary appetizers, drink specials, and dinner specials for those who want to partake in the fine cuisine it has to offer.
To add a twist, we are going to raffle off 4 – $25 downtown gift cards as well so you can take advantage of all of the happenings in Downtown LBC!

Cycling Plan Community Meeting

This is an informative meeting about the future of cycling and bike infrastructure in Downtown Long Beach.
Learn about plans for Downtown – Willmore City – North Pine – and West End Community.

They will be discussing these new Downtown projects:
– New separated bike lanes on 3rd & Broadway
– New sharrows for Pacific Avenue
– New Bike Boulevard for Willmore City / Daisy Avenue
– Other Bike Projects

Give your input, and let’s work together to make Long Beach America’s Most Bike Friendly City.

May Day Festival in Drake Park

May Day Festival in Drake Park. May 7, 2011 from 1:00 to 4:00.  Come and enjoy the festivities of an “old fashioned May Day” at the Historic Victorian Bembridge House and Drake Park.  There will be Maypole dancing performed by the local children as well as games for all ages, free food, a jumper, children’s books, crafts and other festive activities. A Health Fair will offer information and screening services.  Bembridge House tours will be offered from 1:00 to 3:00 for a $2 donation. Children under 12 are free with an adult.

This is a great opportunity to experience a bit of yesterday. Reservations are not required.

Willmore City Heritage Association will be hosting a bake sale and small rummage sale. Donate your old wares and help support the wonderful programs at our neighborhood park. Prior to the event items can be dropped off at Amy & Malte’s House at 519 10th Street.  Or you can drop your wares off from 12pm -1pm on May 7 at Drake Park.  Contact emily@willmorecity.org for additional information.
