Looking to the Future

Willmore City Community Association remains committed to building a safer, cleaner, more connected, and more vibrant neighborhood. In the coming years, we will focus on several key priorities:

Nuisance Properties: Work collaboratively with Code Enforcement, city departments, property owners, and residents to identify and address nuisance properties that impact neighborhood safety, appearance, and quality of life.

Infrastructure & Public Spaces: Advocate for investments that improve the health, safety, accessibility, and livability of Willmore City. Priorities include addressing chronic flooding, improving streets and pedestrian crossings, enhancing lighting, expanding green spaces and tree canopy, supporting park improvements, and promoting safer transportation options for all users.

Community Engagement & Events: Continue hosting events that bring neighbors together and celebrate the diversity of our community. These include cultural celebrations, neighborhood cleanups, beautification projects, tree plantings, educational workshops, and family-friendly gatherings throughout the year.

Housing & Neighborhood Preservation": Advocate for responsible development, preservation of historic character, quality housing opportunities, tenant and homeowner resources, and policies that help residents remain rooted in the community.

Environmental Sustainability: Support initiatives that improve environmental health, including urban greening, stormwater management, waste reduction, recycling education, and climate resilience efforts.

Youth, Families & Community Resources: Expand access to programs, services, and opportunities that support children, families, seniors, and other vulnerable populations through partnerships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, and local government.

Building a Stronger Community Voice: Increase resident participation in local decision-making by creating more opportunities for engagement, leadership development, advocacy, and collaboration with elected officials and city departments.

Together, these efforts will help ensure that Willmore City remains a welcoming, resilient, and thriving neighborhood for generations to come.
